Ukids Vision:
Ukids is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that is all
about loving the orphans of Uganda, East Africa. We are
helping to provide a healthier, safer and more wholesome
environment for as many orphans in Uganda as possible, allowing
them to have an opportunity to learn and grow. We want
these kids to have every chance of reaching their individual God
given potential.
Ukids Work is Purposeful:
Our
faith compels us to love others, especially orphans and widows
in their distress. In Uganda many have suffered because
of war, disease, and poverty. Our goal is to fund,
construct and support projects that will have a dramatic and
profoundly positive impact on the lives and futures of the
orphans and widows we serve.
Ukids Partners with Like-minded Ugandans:
We currently are partnered with Christian Life Church, a large
national church in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. They
know firsthand the needs of the 1.4 million orphans in their
country, and have constructed two orphan villages to meet some
of those needs. It is in these villages we are working to
provide clean water, sanitation, kitchens, community space,
classrooms and safety perimeters.
Ukids Work is Hands On:
When projects are identified, Ukids raises the funds for
construction, and then sends volunteer teams to the orphan
villages to implement, supervise, and work along side our
Ugandan friends as we build together. In this way we build not
only projects, we also build lasting relationships.
Ukids Work is Sustainable:
Ukids projects will have long term benefits for the orphans and
those who care for them. Our goal is to build projects that are
impactful and sustainable, providing healthier and safer
environments in which the orphans can thrive.

How we do that:
By following God’s number one commandment; To Love Others
God’s love for us compels
us to love others; especially orphans and widows in their daily
struggle for survival and hope of a better life. We strive
to meet their needs to the best of our ability regardless of
their race, religion or sex.
We are non-profit
As a non-profit
corporation, we are sponsored by generous donations of
individuals, corporations and churches. The administration costs of Ukids are kept
very low, allowing more than 90 percent of all donations go
directly to our projects and services in Uganda.
We are a Volunteer Organization
There are no paid
positions at Ukids. Thousands of hours have already been
donated by hundreds of volunteers to help with our projects.
Opportunities to serve with Ukids includes joining our
short-term project teams; working here in the States to collect,
sort and pack supplies; fundraising activities; and
office/administrative help. We welcome volunteers of various
faith backgrounds.
We are Governed by a Board of Directors, and Supported by a
Board of Advisors
A volunteer board of
directors oversees our corporation and is made up of Dr. Bruce
and Deborah Douglas, and Mark and Susan Gosvener. Our
board of advisors includes Pastor Jackson Senyonga, Pastor
George Powell, Rick Chowdry, and Adam Neil.
