Pastor Jackson Senyonga
Christian Life Church - Kampala, Uganda
| |
Pastor Jackson Senyonga, a native
Ugandan whose father was killed by Idi Amin, is the pastor of Christian Life
Church, a church of over 20,000 people in Kampala, Uganda. Pastor Jackson and
his wife, Eve, have a deep passion and a great vision for the orphans of
Uganda. In a country with over 1 million orphans, and half the population being
17 years old or younger, they understand how important it is to invest in these
children for the future of Uganda and Africa. Ukids is committed to partnering
with Pastor Jackson and Eve in helping them realize their vision for these
children. |
|
| |
 |
In addition
to providing food, shelter, clothing, and basic medical care to the children,
their purpose is to invest themselves in these children and help them become the
future leaders and employers in their communities. This involves providing them
with a quality education, including the construction of a secondary trade
school. Many of these children aspire to be doctors, lawyers, nurses, business
owners, pastors, and other careers of influence. |
|
| |
Pastor Jackson and Eve are currently
overseeing the construction of two orphan villages; one in Lira in the northern
part of Uganda with approximately 100 children; one in Seeta, near Kampala which
presently has over 300 children, and will eventually grow to 1000 children.
Pastor Jackson and Eve’s vision is to continue to develop additional facilities
to care for and invest in many more of Uganda’s children. |
