The 2008 UTeams will focus on completing two projects this year.  Assisting with the completion of the water treatment project to supply fresh drinking water to the children (this project is approximately 30% complete), and building a kitchen facility to accommodate food preparation for the orphans.  In addition to these projects, the UTeams will also take a small medical team, clothing for the children, teaching and support to local Ugandan pastors, and work directly with the orphans and mums with programs designed to provide teaching in the areas of health, mothering, education,  and to encourage them spiritually.

	Main Hall today. This facility, built by the 2007 UTeams is regularly used for group activities, and will soon also house the new kitchen facility.

Children are required to carry heavy water containers long distances in order to have a water supply.	Water truck occasionally visits orphan village to fill water jugs, providing an appreciated break as opposed to carrying it from the river.

Water from the rooftops will travel through drain pipes	Large underground cisterns will collect and store rainwater
Water will be pumped from the cisterns, through a filter, and into water towers, providing “bottled quality” water for drinking and food preparation.	Present Kitchen – current cooking facility is inadequate for cooking for 400 orphans and mums
Cooking Pot (above) – Food is presently cooked on open fires in unvented rooms – very unhealthy for those cooking for the children   Kitchen Prep (above right) – there are presently no food prep surfaces upon which to prepare meals.
	There are no facilities for cleaning dishes.
