Thank you for
your generous support of the orphans of Uganda. It is only
through the generous gifts from folks like yourself that
enables Ukids to complete our construction projects and send
teams to Uganda to serve these children. Our 2011 Project
Goal is to raise $100,000 to accomplish the following
projects:
Seeta Orphan
Village:
Complete the construction of the 15 room elementary school
that we began in summer 2010. This will complete Phase 1 of
the education facility for the children at Adventure Orphan
Village. It will meet the urgent need to provide classroom
space for 650 of the children at Seeta.
Lira Orphan
Village:
Install a water purification system for the children in
Lira. Providing purified drinking water is so vitally
important to the health of these children, who often battle
illness due to impure drinking water
Container:
Once again we have the opportunity to fill and ship an
8’x8’x20’ shipping container with building materials, tools,
clothing, medicine, school supplies and other items that are
really needed at the orphan village.
You can choose
to have your gift used in any of three ways:
Ukids General Fund
– Ukids is a non-profit organization that is staffed with
volunteer labor. Gifts to this fund are used to cover the
costs of establishing and administering Ukids. These funds
are utilized at the discretion of the Ukids Board of
Directors. Surplus in this fund may be used toward the
Construction Projects or UTeam support.
2011 Summer Projects
– Gifts to this fund will be used to purchase the materials
and costs associated with the completion of the 2011
projects; completion of the elementary School and
installation of the water system in the Lira orphan village.
2011 UTeam’s Support
– Each 2011 UTeam member is responsible to pay 100% of their
way to Uganda. Gifts to this fund will be directly allocated
to 2011 UTeam members to assist them in raising their
support. These funds will be allocated at the discretion of
the Ukids Board of Directors and 2011 team leaders.
